I think we’ve made some quick assumptions from limited information and that led us to splitting on our boys. This is a shame.

I was hoping that, but if you visit Maus' Twitter page he only follows three categories of people: fans, conservative Catholics, and Trump supporters. It's not looking promising.

He follows people that follow him and then a whole bunch of right wingers, OANN, Breitbart, all the Trumps, Terrence K Williams, Ann Coulter, Conway, Ingraham, Huckabee Sanders, Papadopolus, Scott Adams, a bunch of Trump war room type accounts, Turning Point USA and lots of people with ‘patriot’ in their names. Not finding any left leaning stuff to see if there is a balance of interest.

I've just taken a look. Oh man. This must have been happening for a while without any of us noticing.

I've always taken Maus at face value, and he doesn't seem capable of lying. That twitter exchange you posted gives me hope.

i don't see complicated dudes. i see 40something edgelords who're worth abandoning. If they're not quick to remedy the situation, they're likely reveling in it and are part of the problem. luckily i jumped ship a while ago. Fuck em both

i can totally buy this as a viewpoint and i daresay you aren't alone.

my position is that i am probably out for AP going forward. even if it is "lol big brain troll" stuff then i'm not into that. i won't burn your old records but i guess i won't pick up Sit n Spin and Odd Sod 2 like i planned on. you had a good run dude and hopefully you invested some of those royalties.

i've never thought of john as an edgelord at all. i still hope he can make it right, and he does seem to be aware of some of the damage being done. maybe when things die down he will give us an account that isn't a 2 minute defensive posture. why the twitter follows, why there during pandemic, etc. i'm not even looking for an apology, just an explanation.

looking back on it, i'm glad i've educated myself more about these clowns. they're not lofty nor are they special (as they'd like to be). you're not going to get a good explanation from john - if anything you're gonna get more cryptic, circuitous pussyfooting that he's known for.
it's cool to be misunderstood, innit?
