Terribly sorry to hear this. To be honest, I didn't even know it was John's brother in the band, but I believe it must have been Joe who came out with a smile when I saw them in Minneapolis a few months ago, as I thought "my, John looks youthful and chipper!" before realizing I had the wrong man. What a sad turn of events — condolences and best wishes to the family.

Did anyone else see what Kika Maus posted on her Instagram... i hope it’s not true because from the way she worded it, it sounds like many/ all the members are using drugs and I’m hoping that IF this is true that they get help!

I am still reeling from this terrible news. I'm deeply sad, and I can't even imagine what John and his family are going through now. I met Joe last year and we hung out for a good long time. He was sweet, lovely, funny and generous as well as super talented. What a loss.

I think it was a bad idea for Kika to broadcast a yet-unconfirmed cause of death on social media, whatever her reasons may have been. Best not to spend time and energy speculating about things we don't know about, and instead focus on sending love, thoughts and prayers to Joe's family, friends and all those who will miss him the most.

the idea of her posting that so nonchalantly when she's not even with John anymore...some people in his family might not even know the circumstances yet and here is this kika on instagram, broadcasting that. not cool.

Yeah I’m also pretty disgusted by her posting that, and I think Jonathan and Charles’ replies say it all as far as whether anyone had given her the** go ahead to share that private info. Pretty gross.

ooof Kika...that was just tacky. if she ever loved John, she would take it down out of respect for the family. It was not her place to say those things. I feel so sick over this whole situation, what a terrible loss
