So if there's anyone in Germany who has the issue - or John, if you check in sometime and you have a copy of the interview - get it to me and I'll still translate it into English.

Musikexpress article
Following on from another thread, my friend tried to get the Musikexpress for me, but unfortunately the August issue with John's interview is no longer in the shops. I checked their website about ordering back copies but it looks like you have to subscribe to the whole archive and can't order single issues
Sorry, folks, I did try!

Hey,
I posted an answer to your thread elsewhere, then I saw this, I have a copy of it and will scan it and post it up tonight. I hope it works, if for some reason not I'm happy to send it in the post, the interview is worth the effort. Thanks again for offering to translate!

Re: Musikexpress article
OK, flounderblue has sent me the German magazine article and it's awesome!! Thank you!!!
Please everybody bear with me for a bit, I won't be able to get started on the translation until next week, but then it'll be my priority, and it's definitely worth the wait!
In the meantime, can one of you good people who's a bit more savvy than me tell me what's the best way for me to put the article up once the translation is done? As I said, it's pretty long, and I currently don't have a blog or website I could link it to. Also want to make sure there aren't any copyright issues for mausspace, since putting the whole article up probably falls under 'reproducing in whole without prior written consent'
So yeah, any practical suggestions on the best way to upload this will be much appreciated.
Cheers!

Could you include scans of the photos also, please?

Rad! A PDF file uploaded somewhere would work. Mediafire?

Re: Musikexpress article
Hi everyone, I've gone to see family and what's changed from irl is I have no regular internet and I actually miss mausspace - I keep not getting round to introducing myself properly here, I am shy and lazy and can be very very silly...but important things first. I'll upload the scan here when I get back to my connection, I'm assuming there won't really be a problem, will there? And if there is can't 'they' just take it down or something? Just saying...

Hey, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Things have been scanned here from magazines before.
Enjoy your family time!

Hey guys
Just checking in to let you know I'm still working on the translation - I've had a stupidly busy couple of weeks, but it's on my priorities list!

Re: Musikexpress article
Hey guys,
It's taken me longer than anticipated but here it finally is - the translation of the John Maus interview/article/review (from August's Musikexpress). Here are the links:
Scan of the original magazine article including photos:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?6acnej8n9xctd3ehttp://
English translation:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?xg3o3mhuzcmv9gy
Massive thanks to flounderblue for providing the scanned article, for uploading it on mediafire and for proofreading/comments and awesome discussions
A quick note on the translation: I do this sort of thing for a living and normally I'd translate a text to read 'like an original'. In this case, however, I thought it would be interesting for all of you to get a feel of the tone of the German text, which I've tried to bring across in the English version. So if you read a phrase that sounds odd, or you think, 'John doesn't talk like that' - well, that's kind of intentional.
So - enjoy, discuss, and if you've got any questions, PM me.

The scan is coming up as an invalid or deleted file for me, IrisSala. Thanks so much for the translation, however, to both you and flounderblue. Well done and very kind of you to share with us here.

Re: Musikexpress article
Thank you for pointing out the problem with the link, LadyLazarus. I believe I made a mistake copying and pasting it.
Try this:
http://www.mediafire.com/view/?6acnej8n9xctd3e
It seems to be loading but it's taking forever and ever and ever...
